Lazy Dayz of July

Well as the lazy, hazy days of July come to an end I'm sure there are those out there wondering what Mother Nature is going to throw at us for the month of August.  I know there are some that dread the heat but I also know that come 4 or 5 months from now we will all be dreading the cold so as they say suck it up and enjoy what you've got.

My condolesence to the farmers they got flooded in the spring and now they are parched.  That will be something else we will be complaining about in the winter in the grocery store.

For me I am one of the lucky ones as I have a pool to cool my hot self in and air for the times when I have to be inside.   The loveliest part of the day is when I can be OOTDS.

Last Wedstitchday it was a different group than usual as our members were small but our guests were many and it made for much enjoyment as the young ones swam like fish and enjoyed the cooling off.  There were also a couple of adults that joined in the swim as the rest of us sat in the lovely breeze of the evening.

There wasn't much stitching going on outside but we did get into it once we all came inside as the light faded into dusk.  I spent most of the evening frogging what I had done over the past few nights.  Thankfully it wasn't a huge amount.  Have you ever tried to fudge something in stitching only to decide that the fudging isn't working and in fact the error is getting larger.   Well that was my frogging so now I'm back to where I was without the error and it makes me wonder why I bother trying to fudge because ultimately it is just easier to frog and restitch.  It certainly takes less time.

For all the Canadians that are enjoying this wonderful long weekend have a safe and happy good time.  Remember to drive safe coming home.  Happy Stitching.

Happy Canada Day and Happy 4th of July

What a wonderful weekend.  Did everyone have a terrific Canada Day we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful weekend.  Was everyone watching at we greeted Will and Kate?  For those south of the border happy 4th of July.

What with a family reunion and a court BBQ this past weekend was full of fun, family and friends that is the absolute best in anyone's life.  Not much stitching got done over the last week but today with the sun shining and a breeze keeping it comfortable I was OOTDS as one of my stitching sisters says.  It was great.  Tonight I am sitting watching the Boston Pops annaul show and fireworks.

I love fireworks and try to watch as often as I can.  In years gone by we have watched the Benson & Hedges extravagranza but they haven't had anything in a while so this is one show that I will sit back and enjoy every minute.

Enjoy everyone and happy stitching.
